[chirp_users] Trouble down loading from VX-7R
Hello Support,
I am having trouble downloading the frequencies from my VX-7R to create an image file.
I have purchased the programming cable and I also had another cable neither will work. The radio will tell me clone error and the Chirp software will tell me "Failed to communicate with the radio". I have tried different Comm ports and I have tried different USB ports on my laptop.
Thank you for your help on this matter.
Where and who are you?

I actually successfully used Chirp to download from mine yesterday. Sounds like a fake prolific cable /new driver issue. You need to retrograde to the 3.2.0 driver... I had to, too with my cheap cable.

Make sure you screw your cable all the way in. If device manager shows your cable to be a Prolific, roll your driver back to 3.2.0.0.
