[chirp_users] Saving by column order?
I've an Baofeng UV82L and have been using chirp to program it without problem.
As I've found different repeater / agency frequencies I've been adding them to the end of the table. I can sort them by frequency or name to eliminate duplicate entries but would like to be able to save to the radio in the order that I'm viewing them (probably only by frequency).
Is it possible to do this and, if I may ask, how could it be done?

The easiest way would be to - File/Export your data to a .csv file - Renumber the channels on the spreadsheet. - File/Import back into CHIRP

Johns on the money
Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

How about opening a second tab. Sort the source tab by frequency. Sort the destination tab by channel number.
Now copy and paste the source tab to the destination tab.
