Big trouble with data written to radio that in no way matches what's entered. Made my radio inoperable until I restored factory defaults.

Well, this is a completely unhelpful report. Can you please describe the problem(s), how the data differs, and how it "made my radio inoperable"?

Please file a bug, include the debug log and and the image you downloaded from the radio. Without that, I can't even confirm that we're running the same firmware version or that something else hasn't gone wrong.
