[chirp_users] File Saving on MacOS
I’m not able to save files with Chirp. It does not have access to any folders. I have granted it full disk access, but it still does not have access.
This is on a MacBook Pro with M1 ARM processor and Monterey 12.3.1. To get Chirp to run I had to manually sign the app per the download instructions. All other features seem to work properly. I can download and upload to a FT-4XR.
I’m sure there is still something the OS doesn’t like about the app. This is most likely been run into before, but I couldn’t find where it has been addressed. If someone could point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it!
Thanks!
Here's an easy way to fix that:
Open System Preferences Open Security & Privacy Click the lock in the bottom left and unlock the panel Select "Full Disk Access" in the list on the left hand side
From it's location (Applications or ~/Applications) drag and drop CHIRP
into the list of applications on the right side. CHIRP should not be running at the time. Make sure the box next to CHIRP is selected Launch CHIRP
You should be fine now.

I did that already. And rebooted afterwards. That’s what I meant when I said I granted it full disk access. If you have other ideas I’m open to them!
Thanks, Lynn

I can't load from or save to your Desktop, Documents, Downloads, et cetera folders. What I had to do was create a folder off of my user's home folder (I called mine "CHIRP") and copy all of my CHIRP related files into it/them. Now I am able to load from and save there.
