[chirp_users] Increasing scan "hang time" BF-F8HP
Is there a way to increase the amount of time the scan feature stays on a channel after traffic has stopped? Hard to grab the radio and see what channel (or frequency) the last traffic was on. This may have been asked and answered.
Thanks

Do you have scan resume set on CO?

The length of time before scanning resumes is fixed (SCAN=CO). Your only other option would be to set SCAN=SE.
Jim
Increase Scan Hang Time - Scan was set to "TO" Changed to "CO" will see if that makes a change. Thanks KG5UMH

Trying to program my Yaesu FT-857d. Is my reading of the supported features spreadsheet http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/Model_Support.html correct: that there is no way to set RF power levels for memory channels through CHIRP? It would rather inconvenient if I have to set each one manually through the radio’s interface.
Thanks in advance, Gregory Penn
I see no way to do this. I've been using CHIRP with my 857D for about a year. I like CHIRP but there are some features missing.

To be clear, the FT-8x7 itself does *not* have the capability of storing a per channel RF power setting. So there is nothing chirp can do to fix that.

yes, it is a limitation of the 857 itself.

Hi Michael,
I saw your post in the IRLP yahoo group. Did you get your questions answered?
