[chirp_users] Baofeng (Radioddity) UV-5G GMRS export to cvs error
When I try to export to a cvs file I get the error message "Tx freq 0.000000 is out of supported range", any help would be appreciated, I am considering send it back if I cannot program with CHIRP. Thanks - your hard work is appreciated!

We really can't help you here with so little info. Please open an issue on the site with your debug log, radio image, etc so we can look into it. Instructions are here:

What are you doing?
Exporting a CVS file from CHIRP? Why is that preventing you from programming the radio? Can you read and write to the radio? What do you have in chirp that you are trying to export?
I wonder if you are trying to read in (import) a CVS file into chirp and it is failing.
Thanks,
Ken, N2VIP

Hi Ken, I download from the radio to chirp and then export it to a cvs file, make changes, modifications, additions, etc. and then import it back into chirp and upload into the radio. Although I am fairly new, that is how I understand it is supposed to work. As I mentioned, I get an error when I try to export the radio download to a cvs file and the program fails. Let me know if this is not the way, or an easier way to program the radio. Thanks

You can export to a CSV file if you want, but it's not necessary and definitely not the easiest way to make changes. Just make changes right in CHIRP and then Radio->Upload the changes back to the radio.
That said, I do think you're hitting some bug in the export process, but until you reply on the issue you created with the image I asked for, I won't be able to tell for sure. After you download the file, File->Save, and then attach the resulting .img file to the issue so I can have a look.

See attached image file - what is the purpose of the export to cvs if it is not needed? Thanks again for all your input.

Export to CSV is a way to get data out of CHIRP if you want to edit it externally (which is an advanced operation that you need to be careful about because it's easy to break your data), or if you want to maintain a radio-independent plan of channels that you import into other radios to get them synced up. Might be good to check out this page:

Dan, Thank you sooo much for the fix or actually the clarification, these were new radios, preprogrammed. I will make the fix and modify my programming procedures per your instructions, I am still trying to learn the intricacies of programming and radios. Thanks!

There is no reason for all those steps. Jusst download from the radio, make the changes you want, save the modified file and upload it to the radio.
