[chirp_users] basic programming
Super basic question about CHIRP programming...
I have the latest 'daily build' and loaded some local freqs into my Baofeng.
Have Chirp open on my PC (Windows 7) and can't seem to sort out how to re-load my settings back into my radio. (my programming cable seems to be fine)
I had no trouble loading it the first time but now not sure where to find the backup file I made.
Can someone advise? Thx!
What Operating System are you using? What error message are you receiving?

Have Chirp open on my PC (Windows 7) and can't seem to sort out how to re-load my settings back into my radio. (my programming cable seems to be fine) I had no trouble loading it the first time but now not sure where to find the backup file I made. Can someone advise? Super basic question about CHIRP programming... I have the latest 'daily build' and loaded some local freqs into my Baofeng. Have Chirp open on my PC (Windows 7) and can't seem to sort out how to re-load my settings back into my radio. (my programming cable seems to be fine) I had no trouble loading it the first time but now not sure where to find the backup file I made. Can someone advise? Thx! _______________________________________________ chirp_users mailing list chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com mailto:chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users This message was sent to Richard Isaacs at goldporsche944@aol.com mailto:goldporsche944@aol.com To unsubscribe, send an email to chirp_users-unsubscribe@intrepid.danplanet.com mailto:chirp_users-unsubscribe@intrepid.danplanet.com

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the noise here. Rick has been removed from the list, but he generated thousands of messages before that point, which took a while to get removed from all the various queues. More may be queued on machines I don't control, but hopefully no more will be generated at this point. I'm keeping an eye on things and will try to jump on anything else that happens.
As best I can tell, Rick configured his email client to forward any message he received from the list back to the list, forming a loop, which is where the thousands of mails came from. I'm guessing he did this because he couldn't figure out how to unsubscribe, which seems to be incredibly pervasive with AOL users (don't ask me why).
Anyway, again, sorry for the noise and hopefully it will be quiet from here on out.

Thanks Dan for explaining what happened. I was hit with about 150 of them. Good night, Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: Dan Smith To: Discussion of CHIRP Sent: Friday, June 17, 2016 9:36 PM Subject: Re: [chirp_users] basic programming

I've never been on AOL, but I wonder if their mail client strips the links appended to the bottom of each message?

I have an AOL email address and they *do not* strip the links on the bottom of my emails. Steve kb1chu

Super basic question about CHIRP programming... I have the latest 'daily build' and loaded some local freqs into my Baofeng. Have Chirp open on my PC (Windows 7) and can't seem to sort out how to re-load my settings back into my radio.
