[chirp_users] FYI BF-F8HP programming
Got mine in today and did a test download (1st!!) and then a test change and it uploaded perfectly. I’m using the daily build of Chirp and a Mac Mini and the same cable that I use with my UV-82 and UV-82C.
No worries….

I can download from the radio but cannot upload same file back to the radio. The following error occurs:
Unsupported Firmware Version ....N5R-313F8HP-1
Have successfully used the cable for Uv5r+ just now but new Bf-F8HP gives the error above. Help? Mike

It doesn't sound like you are using the latest CHIRP daily build. Which version of CHIRP are you using?

There is no support for the BF-F8HP in V0.4.1. Because of firmware changes, it is not recommended that the stable release be used for any Baofeng UV-5R variants including the BF-F8HP. Upgrade to the latest daily build for BF-F8HP support

Jim is there an efficient way to change a group of programmed channels all at once to "High" power somehow using the Chirp power column? Instead of changing them all manually one by one. Thank you. Mike

There sure is. Highlight the desired group of channels. The right-click one of the highlighted channels and then select "Edit" from the dialog box that pops up. Now you can "tick" the box to enable the Power setting so you can change it to the desired value. Press OK and they are all changed as once.
