[chirp_users] I was hoping to see a Yaesu FT-50R in the list of radios
Hello.
I'm new to this group, so please pardon me if I don't send/word a question the right way.
Is there any chance there are plans to add the FT-50R to the list of radios?
I have just got back a bit with the 2 meter group here in Saskatchewan, Canada.
But I was able to program my radio with a USB cable . now that's a lot slicker than the old DB9 serial cable.

I worked on a driver for the FT50 years ago. I was borrowing the radio, so I had limited time. I got most of it working, but in the end, was unable to make it stable because the radio seemed to behave a little differently every time I did a clone. The code is still in the tree, but is disabled. A developer who has one of these radios and wants to spend time figuring out what was going on is welcome to do so :)
