Hi Milton, it is my understanding that the way GMail handles messages you send to a list (such as CHIRP) is to discard them as redundant, but not bounce them.

Yahoo, AOL & other email services have had other mail issues that do cause messages to bounce (or be rejected), so that is probably what caused the problem.

To be clear, GMail does not bounce messages just because you sent them to yourself in a roundabout way. But Gmail does silently discard those.

Today was the second time in I swear less than a week my membership was suspended because of too many bounced messages.
