[chirp_users] Special Channels
When I export to CSV, it does not export the Special Channnels.
1. Is there a way of doing this?
2. If I created a line item in CSV with a LOC of "HOME HF" (as an example), will it import into my IMG file and hence Upload to my radio (Yaesu FT857D)?
Thanks for your help.
Walt
Dear Walt you cannot export/import special channels BUT you can copy&paste them to and from a CSV. Let me show you step by step: - from the IMG of your FT857D export all channel to CSV - open the newly created CSV to a second tab in Chirp - select all special channels from FT857D then "copy" - go to the CSV tab - in second field of Memory range write 247 - select line 201 and "paste" - save the CSV
To be able to copy back from CSV to special channels you'll have to wait next daily build as with current version I will give you an error for each channel. I already tested the patch I'll upload it ASAP.

Marco,
Thanks.
I understand the Second Tab in the CSV, but I don't know why you mentioned this:
in second field of Memory range write 247 - select line 201 and "paste"
1. Can't I just past into A1 of the second Tab?
2. You sent to build to the developer list, what is the usual turn-around time before they put on the daily build?
Also when I click the link to the daily build, it takes me to http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/
But that appears to be the 2/1/16 version that I currently have.
3. Is there another link that has the Delta Builds?
Thanks again
Walt

Hi Walt
1. you can paste where you prefer, my suggestion was only to avoid overwriting any existing memory in the CSV
2. it depends on Dan (the developer in chief): when he has time he pick up patches from list, the new build is then automatically generated at 8:00 GMT and an email is sent to this list; this usually happen in a couple of days
At http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/ you always find the last daily build and yes the 2/1/16 is actually the last one.
At http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/ you have access to some older builds, at http://d-rats.com/hg/chirp.hg you can find full sources with patch history and finally http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Developers for more info on development process and tools.
