(1) You need to read the instructions for using CHIRP that can be found at miklor.com. (2) The first step is to download an image from your radio before you attempt to program anything. Save a copy of this image file on your computer so that you can later return the radio to its out-of-the-box state if needed in the future. (3) You can't just open CHIRP, make the settings that you want and then upload to the radio. You must first have an image from the radio to modify. Once you have completed Step 2 above, you can do the programming you want, save that file, and then upload it to your radio.

Is CHIRP available as a website, so I can download my lists from there to my radio?
