I am quite shure Alex solved the mistery. I cannot say completely shure, but... I am scanning both channels: 442.830Mhz and 983.700. They seams to be same taxi service. I don`t know if they are having exactly the same conversation, I mean, I couldn`t listen a question in one channel and the answer in another, lool. Thats what is missing to confirm! Now a question: the 2nd harmonic is real tunned in 980mhz? or...? well? I am listen to that in 930.700Mhz! As I was able to listen to a loud and clear to a conversation in 127Mhz! (less then 136mhz lower limit)

Well, there is a service freqeunce that I could hear, in 442.830Mhz. I am not sure they are the same, since it seamns to be a kind custom service with a central. Something like a taxi service, or delivery, I don't know. I will monitoting them both to see if they are the same service, and if it is, case solved, loool Em 26/02/2013, às 20:13, "Bill Gabbard" wcgabbard1@windstream.net escreveu:
Alex, Good thought. I was a commo chief in the Army for 20 years &often had second or as we called cross-harmonics and had to take that into account when setting up daily freq. changes..........Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: Alex & La Nell To: chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2013 5:53 PM Subject: Re: [chirp_users] chirp_users 930.700
Could it be the second Harmonic of 465.350 ? If you are close to the site, or in view of it, it would be possible to receive either signal in the 465 band or the 930 band. ?
Just a shot in the dark.

Anyone can set a radio to display a frequency. That is all it does...display. At best, you will not get the pll to go there. at worst...you will permanently brick your radio. I advise any reputable software author to Not write anything to take a radio past design limits, lest someone accuse them of software that destroyed their radio. As we well know, many Tom dick and harrys who frequent these groups have limited knowledge of how these radios really work.
The other alternative is to have a switch in the software to allow "unlimited" programming, and when this is activated, a big warning pops up that the user has to read - "This is unsupported, you risk damaging your radio, and the author will not be responsible if you proceed. Type <random series of letters> to continue or click on Cancel to abort."
