Hi Tip,
Page 28 of the FT-60 manual covers the topic of manually programming "Odd Splits". The receive and transmit frequencies can be set independently, including different bands (I just tried it!).
I have used chirp to program my ft-60 but not this specific crossband VHF/UHF configuration. But I do not see any reason not to try it.
Here is an article about this: http://www.gatorradio.org/FT60R_Satellite.html

Hi all,
I know that satellite communications works best with two radios operating duplex, but I also learned that sat comm can be accomplished using a Yaesu FT-60. Is there a way that Chirp can be used to set up the VHF uplink and UHF downlink? Or can anyone guide me in the right direction for tutorial or instruction? Thanks!
