[users] Error code using CHIRP with Explorer QRZ-1

I am trying to program my QRZ-1 using Chirp s/w and when attempting to read data from the radio, I am getting an "Error reading from radio: not the amount of data we want." (I can't use the s/w that should come with the radio because GigaParts did not send that to me yet.)

Any suggestions?
