Folks,
There was an issue with my procedure. I was neglecting to hit the set button when trying to Download from Radio.

FT-90R upload and download works great.

I launch Chirp and select Download from Radio.

I see the message about Putting into clone mode. I did this and it says CLONE on the display,

I then plug in and continue.

I get this message after about 10 second.

I installed the latest signed 2.4.2 Drivers https://www.valley-ent.com/store/ftdi-usb-vcp-driver.html which linked to http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
