Very frustrated, been trying to program my Kenwood TMV71 with CHIRP, using a FTDI cable from BlueMax and my new Mac Air. The computer will not download from radio. I installed multiple versions of the FTDI drivers and nothing. Even switched the cable for a new one just in case. I was able to program this radio with the same cable and software last year when I had an older MacBook (which I no longer own) Any ideas? I have a feeling maybe there is a simple step I am missing. I believe with the Kenwood TMV71 you simply plug the cable in the fort and go

OK, I was even more stumped!! Building and etc... I tried a couple of Chirp versions... The UV8D & UV8D plus are DIFFERENT radios. Took a bit of searching, but there is programming software on the Wouxom site! http://wouxun.com/download.aspx?flid=1093
Hope this helps someone else!! Would have saved a lot of work!! Let me know when Chirp Supports the radio... Yea, I will watch....
