OK now I feel like an idiot. I tried that earlier, but I got an error. The error was an out of range error, which I mistook for the channel being out of range. All set now, thanks.

I just received this radio and, using the latest Linux build of CHIRP on F19. I downloaded from radio, and I am only able to program channels 2-21. 0, 1 & 22-127 are all greyed out and I'm unable to edit them. I have programmed 2-21 all fine, though. Any ideas? I'm not a windows guy but I did install the VIP software for windows in a VirtualBox running Win 7 but the program wouldn't even startup correctly, so I gave up. -Doug
Hi Doug,
Are you sure you can't edit them? They are greyed out because they are empty. Click on one and then click again in the Frequency column and enter a frequency. That's the way it works on my Windows computer and I just fired up my Linux to verify it does the same thing.
