Alex,
Good thought.  I was a commo chief in the Army for 20 years &often had second or as we called cross-harmonics and had to take that into account when setting up daily freq. changes..........Bill

Could it be the second Harmonic of 465.350 ? If you are close to the site, or in view of it, it would be possible to receive either signal in the 465 band or the 930 band. ?

Just a shot in the dark.

Again, Could some one explain? Now I had good look: loud and clear conversation. I think it is a private pro 2-way radio. look it is in 930.700Mhz.
I don`t know any about technical exaplanation. Please, in a simple mode, How it could be a interference from another freq?

The other alternative is to have a switch in the software to allow
"unlimited" programming, and when this is activated, a big warning pops
up that the user has to read - "This is unsupported, you risk damaging
your radio, and the author will not be responsible if you proceed.  Type
<random series of letters> to continue or click on Cancel to abort."

well, basically, save this restore point, try that, copy the "actual" prolific installer somewhere, if anything goes wrong, restore, or unistall and reintall and remove the upgrade

No. Do not update.

Unless your programming cable has a genuine Prolific usb-to-serial chip in
it (most cheap cables have a counterfeit chip), the updated driver will
detect the counterfeit chip and stop working. You must continue to use the
older driver that does not perform this check.

Jim,
Thanks, that's what I thought I read some where.  My cable came with radio & is working flawlessly thus far, so I'll leave as is. So why mess with something not broke.
Thanks again,
Bill

PS: Did you get my email regarding antennas for the UV-5RA?
