Be cautious using CDs that come with inexpensive, cloned-chip cables. I've seen many that contain viruses. I'd run an antivirus scan to be sure. The http://www.miklor.com/ website is probably a safer bet.

WEll actually the software on the CD is older than the miklor software (or has a different versioning system). :) and my system scans all apps before they will actually open so it looks like I'm good here :) I'm now a proud CHIRP user!
