The TH-F6A won't accept the frequencies of channels 11-24, 91-95, 97-101 & 106. They require a frequency STEP of 2.5 KHz which the radio does not support. See FREQUENCY STEP SIZE in the User's Manual (page 37).
The radio accepts the frequencies from channels 125-300 but will not display these channels when the A band is selected because their frequencies are outside the ranges for the A band. They display as expected when the B band is selected. This is consistent with the radio's specifications according to the User's Manual (page 54).
All frequencies within the 2 meter (144-148 MHz), 1-1/4 meter (222-225 MHz) and 70 centimeter (430-450 MHz) ham bands will transmit. Frequencies outside of those ranges have TX disabled (RX only beep is heard).
I always leave my radio in PC mode. It only needs to be switched to SP/MIC or TNC when you intend to use those devices.
