================================================ in order to download data from the RR database directly into radio programming software you would first need a subscription to RR, $15 for 18-days or $30 for 360-days. however, anyone can access the database manually without cost. some will cut and paste frequency information http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Excel_Copy/Paste_Special_to_Software
there is also a forum (free) on how to use and access the database http://forums.radioreference.com/database-discussion-forum/
does this help you? ===============================================
No not really, Rich, especially since I helped write the article you're referring to here, and I'm a long time member (and former wiki manager) for RR :.>>
I guess my question comes down to where I can get this 'daily build' that seems to be mentioned several places on the CHIRP wiki page. The download page seems to have version 0.2.3, and that evidently doesn't have the capability. From where can I get the newer versions?
This is precisely the kind of thing that needs to be documented - along with exactly how to use it. Anyone who's a newcomer to this software, and wanted to use RR data, would ask very similar questions, I'm sure.
Thanks for the help ... Mike
