Maybe it's time to break out the Mac issues from the rest. That way those interested in Mac can discuss it to their hearts content and the other don't have to read about it.

Hi All,
I have just recently purchased a Baofeng BF-F8HP and installed Chirp on my Mac Pro. I am unable to connect to the radio to download the initial configuration.
I played around with all of the suggested tip and tricks for the Mac (running High Sierra) and was not able to get the software to talk to the radio.
I pulled out an old Windows 7 laptop and installed the latest versions of Chirp and Prolific drivers for my USB-to-Serial cable and all works perfectly...
So, this tells me that the radio is working as designed and the cable is working with the latest Prolific drivers.
Anyone else having an issue with Chirp on Macs?
