Thank you. What is really odd is that it worked once after I installed the FTDI driver on my Mac. I cloned the radio and was able to work with it. Later I realized that I had forgotten to put some repeaters on that I needed. This time when I connected the radio it will not work again. It’s doing the exact same thing as before. I can only see the Bluetooth port. Any ideas on what may be going on?

The FT70 has a USB driver built in. Use the USB Cable that came with the radio, or a USB cable that fits correctly as the radio socket is recessed. The USB Port will not show up on your Mac until the Radio is in the correct state for programming. Follow the onscreen instructions exactly to ensure the radio is in the correct state for download. Happy to try and answer any further questions. Nicolas

The odd thing is that when I use this adapter with the BaeFeng it works just fine.
Thanks again.

Do you know where I can download a driver? Is it a FTDI cable or some sort?

I am on a MacBook Pro 13 running 11.2.3.
When I attempt to download the radio to Chirp the port that is auto populated is /dev/cu/.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port. When I put the radio into ADMS mode and attempt to download it I get ‘ERROR’ on the radio and a message stating that the radio did not respond on Chirp. I am using the cable supplied by Yaesu.
Any ideas on how to get the radio to communicate with Chirp?
Thanks.
