Get the latest CHIRP daily build if you don't already have it. Use CHIRP to find out what the "real" firmware version your radio has.
Settings -> Other Settings -> Firmware Message 1:
Then get a "factory" image that was saved from a radio having the exact same firmware version and upload it to your radio.
