not sure how to reply to messages, not seen a forum like this before..
on in my Chirp i select radio BF-A58S is 'settings' and then 'other settings' i have VHF lower limit 136Mhz upper limit 174Mhz UHF lower limit 400mhz upper limit 520Mhz
i can't see anything which mentions 200Mhz to 260Mhz ?? hence why i'm unsure that if i start adding 220Mhz channels and such like that when i try to upload it'll either deny them or brick the radio.. yes i have half a dozen already programmed in by the factory, but also all the 220 channels and a couple of UHF have a \ next to them where it's meant to say channel name..

Just bought a Tri-band version of the A58S, and although Chirp downloads from radio in either A58, A58S or even UV-5R-XYZmk3Turbo whatever it is. when i download the radios stock configuration i see VHF and UHF frequencies including 220Mhz. but Chirp only says this radio is VHF and UHF and not 220Mhz. so when i download all seems good. configuration only shows as dual band.
my issue is although i can ad 220Mhz frequencies to the memories, i dare'nt upload in case the radio goes to VHF and UHF only and i lose the 220Mhz. will it lose 220Mhz if i upload as a dual band and not tri-band ?? wil the tri-band frequencies install although Chirp say's it's dual band ??
any one ?? thanks..
