The above is the preferred method, especially if you have kids, visiting grandkids, or crazy brothers-in-law as you retain some control over what gets installed on your system.
Agreed. I added this and the global option to the MacOS Tips page, and linked it from the Download location.
And to keep this posting as topically valid, the just now downloaded version 0.4.0 runs just fine on my system under 10.9.2.
Cool. Too bad Apple couldn't make this a little more obvious, but I very much appreciate the workarounds and verification.
