Same here. My Baofeng F-11 the USA version of the UV5R. Just garnered
support in Chirp recently. I'm using the Mac version of Chirp with the cable that came
from my Wouxun UV6D. Yeah I had a little trouble getting the right driver for the cable
but after that both Wouxun and Baofeng radios work well with Chirp for Mac OS-X.
And now hoping to get tomorrow's build of Chirp to work with my Anytone 5888UV.
Their software for Windows is horrible. But feel-wise is similar to Chirp. Or is Chirp
feel-wise similar to the Anytone software?

I am sure there are people here that can help you. I and my best friend both have the same radio and programmed them both on chirp. A lot of people have problems because the programming cable has to be pushed in really hard into the radio to get it to connect. Have you tried that. Once we figured that out it programmed without any further troubles.

Please remove me from this group.  I purchased a UV 5Ra beofang radio an have tried and tried to program it, with both the VIP and the CHIRP programs.  NO Luck.
