The installer will uninstall other versions of the driver.

I have used the driver from the Miklor site that was suggested earlier. Maybe we have a different MBP but a different programming cable for sure. My cable is unmarked and just black. If you want me to I can send a picture later on. I'm not at home right now.

The install routine gave me the message that everything was installed just fine and I restarted the machine before creating the system report. Results in Chirp remain the same exactly. I don’t know if this has anything to tell me, but the driver I downloaded only specifies up to osx 10.8.

Ik using a UV-5R and I program it with the same driver. If you want me to I can send you my driver and see if that works for you. Are you using the Kenwood style cable?

- /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem error: An error has occurred - could not open port /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem: [Errno 16] Resource busy: '/dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem'
- /dev/cu.NoZAP-PL2303-000013FA error: Radio did not respond
- /dev/cu.usbserial  error: Radio did not respond

Any ideas? I am using the USB programming cable from Baofeng, that came with the radio. 

btw. under windows7 (installed on the mbp) it works like a charm.
