+1. I've had the same excellent experience.
Thanks, Devs.

Hi, I've been using CHIRP to download/upload programming images to my BaoFeng BF8HP since I got it a few weeks ago. I use the BF8HP field selection in the radio upload/download window and haven't had any problems. I obviously use the most recent build and update with the most recent daily build, and again no problems. Personally I always download the programming image first, make changes, then save the changes and upload the programming. This way I know the link and software are working by downloading first, and this (maybe I'm wrong about this) way I'm not altering the radio first. Just some positive feedback. Anyone working on this radio yet. I noticed that the requests for it are several months old.

Robert is correct. The CHIRP stable build was released in April of 2014. Support for the BF-F8HP wasn't available until after that. That's why the "Supported Radio Models" list on the CHIRP home page says "BF-F8HP (in daily builds)". It is important to use a CHIRP daily build from September 2014 or after for Baofeng radios. The CHIRP v0.4.x stable build should not be used for Baofeng radios.
