To see the frequency off the channel memory you are on, you need to go into the menu and choose from display name, display channel number, or display frequency. I do not know what menu number it is. A and B have different menu numbers to change the settings.

The UV-5R only has one memory bank. It fools many people.
A/B in memory mode only switches between A and B selections of the same memory bank.

In frequency mode nothing is part of memory, it's just vfo and the settings in the menu.

I didn't explain this very good, but I am in a hurry. LOL

I have attached a snap shot of my programming.
When I am in Channel mode I see the Name just fine and the radio hits and receives the repeater ok. But if I switch to Freq mode, the screen shows 146.100 no matter what channel I am on. I have never programmed that freq into the radio.
What am I missing here? Why won't the radio show me the freq of the Channel I am on?
