These radios commonly come with the band limits set to 130/179 VHF and 400/520 UHF. You can easily expand the limits of your radio to these values so you will be able to program 130.0000-179.9975 MHz and 400.0000-520.9975 MHz from the keypad. CHIRP will let you program frequencies within these ranges even if you don'[t expand the band limits.
