Actually - I have solved this. Some more googling revealed that I needed to cd ~/downloads then run the install script.
Next step to try serial cable

Hi - I’m trying to install CHIRP on Ultramarine (Fedora) using pipx but get the error “unable to parse package spec: ./chirp-20250124-py3-none-any.whl”
The downloaded file is just in downloads - do I need to move it somewhere else for pipx to find it ?
