The same problem I've always had with mine. Seems it's trying to read bank names for the band edge scan memories which don't have any.

Please holler if there is other data I can gather. I am not sure where the rev level on the radio is, I know that I did some updates to it, but that was a couple of years ago, the last time I ran chirp on the radio it just worked. I think that the only way I can get the firmware rev level is to use the Icom crapware. I have a copy but it is in storage in WA state, so I cannot get to it, and I am not going to pay Icom $70 for another copy, so unless we need the radio rev level it is what it is.

On and on adifinitum, for 64 lines. I see there was a bug report but not sure it was corrected. I will get more info as I poke into it. As I started seeing all kinds of things that I did not recall the last time I did anything with the 92AD

Now I have the latest and greatest running but I still see things like it reading to 849 memories when it should go to 799. Also seems to take a long longer to read the radio than I remembered.
Also I moved a group of channels down one to make room for another channel, it gave the balloon that it was going to take some time to do it, OK'd the move and it showed it was doing it, I refreshed the screen and it went to a blank screen.
Also in the D-STAR tab it shows a repeater call sign I cannot find but does not show on that I have programmed in.

See a lot of strange things like reading 849 memories (should only go to 799) and one or other bank screens blank.
Looked at the bug reports and see all off what I see (Thank you Winlock) so just out of a whim I look at the date of the code, says 20170714. I see that the latest and greatest 20180623. I have the snapshots ppa enabled but for some reason it is not pulling down the latest and greatest. Any ideas?
I am running Ubunut Mate 18.04
