Hi, I used the TYT default program to modify the range of my TYT TH-UV3R from the stock config. It was 400 - 470, but I've extended it to 512Mhz. I can now monitor my local UHF-T Fire Departments.
I can read and write to the new upper limit using the TYT software, but I would like to use Chirp instead. Is there anyway to tell chirp that the upper limit of the frequency range is now 512Mhz instead of 470Mhz? I looked for an .ini file that would have the radio definitions in there, but I was unable to see one. I'm hoping it is an easy hack within chirp to allow me to write the 'out of band' frequencies into the radio.
Thanks 73 Phil / w2lie
Hi Phil,
Looking at an online manual, it looks like the top end could be 520 MHz. Submit an issue and I'll see what I can do.
