Regarding the 2800M changes... The upload is working a little more often but it is still failing the majority of the attempts. Interestingly, it seems to work a high percentage of the time on the first attempt after starting chirp. Successive attempts (with restarting chirp) are likely to fail with "failed to read echo".

Hmm, that's strange. I don't see that here. I did ten uploads in a row without a failure.

Is this on Windows? Linux?
