Well I feel like a fool for not thinking of this, but it should be noted. I had done a web search for my particular error message and I found a message on some other forum, it may have been by John on this list who sent me an image, but it was recommended to go back to an earlier Chirp because something had been broken, this was in May of this year. So I figured my Chirp was about that old, so I downloaded the latest Chirp, and Whala! I uploaded the stock image, then downloaded it, I then imported my channels and successfully uploaded them. So the lesson to be taken from this, if it isn't working, try a newer Chirp file, or if that doesn't work, maybe an even older version. Thanks to All
Glenn

Thanks Jim for the link and thanks John, although your files weren't attached, but I got the image from the link Jim sent. So I opened the image I downloaded from the Chirp site and when I tried to upload it, Chirp gave me the message of an unexpected error communicating with the radio. I looked for a log file in the Chirp folder in program files (x86) and didn't find any log files. Is there another location for the log, or would that not tell me anything anyway? Thanks.
The "How To Report Issues" page in the CHIRP documentation/wiki area provides information on how to locate the debug.log file for all three supported operating systems. Here is a link to the page...
