It says that because it's not a Prolific driver.
It was my error, he was telling us clearly it was CH40 driver and I was not familiar with that driver.
Markus, try what Dennis recommended this driver should work on Windows 10.
I am sorry I misunderstood you about the driver, it is the CH40 driver not prolific.
With humble apologies, best regards,

Why does it say this on the Miklor page? I've gotten CH340 to work just fine. Is it the Yuheng brand?
Note:
If Device Manager does NOT say "Prolific", Stop here.
There are several USB Driver chipset manufactures.
SiLabs (CP2102), FTDI, Yuheng (CH340, CH341)
These 'Prolific' drivers do not apply and will not work.Dennis M. Wage (W9BOQ)

Marcus,
Try this driver, it is the old one. Does it work?
If not, reboot and update driver so we can see what driver you are using.
If you could show us the name and version date of the ORIGINAL driver, it would help.
We are missing that info.
Hopefully you will have tried the old Prolific driver and now CHIRP will work.

Markus,
Show under Device Manager the Driver for this device.
See info here. http://www.miklor.com/COM/UV_Drivers.php
It will tell you everything you need to do to get your cable working.
But first just make sure that you press the cable end with the two pins very firmly into the microphone socket on the Wouxun. Just to make sure!
I'm guessing you have a counterfeit Prolific type chip in your cable.
The page above will show you what to do. If this is the problem, you will have to do this each time you use programming software with Windows because of the counterfeit chip in the cable.
Otherwise buy a genuine WOUXUN cable or this:PC03 FTDI Genuine USB Programming Cable for BTECH, BaoFeng, Kenwood, and AnyTone Radio
