Jim,

Per the download page I do:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:dansmith/chirp-snapshots

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install chirp-daily

On the last setup, I get an error message indicating it can't find the chirp-daily

First to commands give no error

It should work. Did you add the repository as described on the download page?
