2 - 2900's - one modded and one not - cable works fine on the un-modded one. As a matter of fact - I have several types of cables for different radios, so yes, I think that's the driver I'm using.

Check device manager to see if your cable is a Prolific. If it is, roll your driver back to 3.2.0.0 and see if that works.
