Forget about the defaults.  The squelch levels pre-programmed are much too high.  I use 0, 1, 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48 ,56, 64.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew the default/recommended Service Squelch Settings for the Baofeng UV5R. I mainly use mine as a scanner but use frs 1 and 2.
