On a long shot, have you tried a factory reset, a complete reset not justsome parameters. I forget is the UV5 has two different levels of reset.Then upload your image to the radio and see what happens. I know fromexperience that radios which get all their operating instructions fromthe non volatile firmware which is stored along with modifiable ramcan get corrupted and cause some real whacky symptoms. If you havea current image of your channels give it a try. When the radio rebootsit will upload a fresh operating system from its firmware. Thenyou can upload your memory image. Might be the simple fix and I certainlywould be the first to try it.
