I highly recommend not installing the prolific drivers and just pick up an FTDI based cable. I've had great luck with the "Mirkit" cables off amazon, I usually use their "6-n-1" setup which has a main cable and a bunch of different "ends" for different radios.

I found the first few steps in this document helpful in getting everything working: https://cdn.competec.ch/documents2/6/5/5/51741556/51741556.pdf
Essentially, I needed to reboot my macbook and tweak one of the security settings that was preventing the driver from being installed. See the note that describes the adjustment here: https://www.prolific.com.tw/us/showproduct.aspx?p_id=229&pcid=41 _______________________________________________ Users mailing list users@lists.chirpmyradio.com https://lists.chirpmyradio.com/postorius/lists/users.lists.chirpmyradio.com To unsubscribe, send an email to users-leave@lists.chirpmyradio.com To report this email as off-topic, please email users-owner@lists.chirpmyradio.com List archives: https://lists.chirpmyradio.com/hyperkitty/list/users@lists.chirpmyradio.com/
