John, Are you sure about that Yahoo group? When I take the link it says no such group exists. If I remove the dash in the name I get same results. I thought they might have moved to groups.io like a lot of yahoo groups have done but I am not having any luck finding it.
Thank you.

I have 2. They have features that Baofengs do not have. There are some glitches, but nothing that is really a deal breaker.
Chirp is the only software available for them, and it supports all functions of the radio. It is very well implemented.

I ordered it from Amazon last night. Looking forward to getting on some of the 220 machines in my area.
I looked at the comments on the radio, there was good mehh and not so good, but the good was very good so going to take my chance.
They all said it was Chirp programmable, that is very good...

I have a 5X3 and fortunate enough to have several 220 repeaters within handheld range. Very satisfied with the radio, and it is totally supported by CHIRP. John K3NXU http://www.miklor.com/COM/Review_5X3.php <http://www.miklor.com/COM/Review_5X3.php>____
