I've been trying to set frequencies within this range, but CHIRP complains that they are out of supported range. I'm guessing that msg comes from CHIRP, not the radio, since it isn't connected at the time.

CHIRP supports the following:

26-33 MHz 47-54 Mhz 108-180 MHz 350-512 MHz 750-950 MHz

The manual say that 68-88 MHz and 220-260 MHz are optional bands.
