Hello chirp_users,
I am registered but my registration details are not accepted by chirp and when I try to change them it says that I am already registered! So I cannot go throught the usual procedures to make a request.
I would like the Puxing PX888 to be added to the list of radios that chirp can handle. I can't understand why it isn't already supported, there must be thousands of them out there, but hey, there you go.
Regards, Chris

Greetings,
A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made
directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features,
bug fixes, and/or bugs. If you are interested in trying it, grab it
from the following location:
http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/daily-20170714
A list of the changes included in this build (since the last daily)
follows:
Changes for Build #498
[Jim Unroe <rock.unroe@gmail.com>] [KT8900] Extra ID Doesn't Match
When a QYT KT8900 radio has had a passcode stored in it by the factory
software, the 'extra ID' will not match the string that CHIRP expects to see.
This patch relaxes the check by removing what are apparently the passcode
bytes from the string that CHIRP expects to see in the 'extra ID'.
Bug #4993

Hi David,
I am working on the same radio selection, only mine is the BF9.
But you will need to select USB0.
That is the last option in the port list.
It should be the first I think.
Anyway, now I need to look in my saved messages for how to allow permissions
for USB0.
If you get that message, there is a CLI fix for that.
Glenn

Before a communication port can be detected, there must be a complete
and working connection between the radio and computer. You didn't say
which operating system you are using so I will assume Windows.
With Windows, you should be able to access Device Manager to determine
exactly which COM port was assigned to your programming cable.
Do you have the Baofeng Tech PC03 programming cable with FTDI chip? If
not, then your programming cable most likely has a counterfeit copy of
a Prolific chip. The device driver that is automatically installed
when a Prolific chip is detected is intentionally incompatible with
counterfeit Prolific chips.

As Jim mentioned, The driver for the counterfeit trip, the one you need is Prolific 3.2.0.0
This can be found at

Hi,
I am importing a new CSV file into my Baofeng BF-F9 V2
using the CSV file I made for my son's BF 8.
I am using Linux (Ubuntu Mate) and the Orca screenreader.
It reads all the cells, but I don't know which column is the one that sets the power level.
I want all my channels to default to high.
Thanks for any assistance.
