I wonder sometimes if the people who send requests to be removed from the list like this haven't been compromised by some kind of hack that sends the message. We get a lot of it at Yahoo but it's usually just a message to the group with the only content being a link. Supposedly the newbie clicks on the link then his account is then compromised and it goes on and on. So that's why I wonder if this isn't some sort of attack on Glenn's email account.

Rather than impose on the list owner to manually intervene, the way to remove yourself from this list (the procedure is similar for other lists) is to either:
Click on the url at the bottom of the page (http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users) and follow the instructions there, OR
Configure your email reader to display all headers and click on the following one:
List-Unsubscribe: http://intrepid.danplanet.com/mailman/listinfo/chirp_users, mailto:chirp_users-request@intrepid.danplanet.com?subject=unsubscribe
Or manually you can send an email to chirp_users-request@intrepid.danplaned.com, with the subject "unsubscribe".
