Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate it.Issue 1: It seems that you folks update CHIRP quite frequently. Since Apple does not recognize you as a vendor it is somewhat awkward to find the work-around in order to install CHIRP on my MacBook Pro. How do I do this and what is Python Run time option,
Issue 2: When attempting to save the CHIRP grid, I run into all sorts of problems in that it does not recognize the file directory structure on the MacBook, and doesn’t allow me to save change to my desktop or other directory.
Issue 3: I maintain my ‘channeled repeaters’ from the Repeater Book (export). CHIRP does not allow me to import changes from my Repeater Book desktop.
Issue 4: I have the 2M and 70cm calling frequencies programmed into my BF-F8HP channels 1-4 respectively. The import Function of CHIRP overwrites this data causing me to re-enter them again manually. Is there any way around this?
Thanks for listening and I hope I can get some positive feedback to resolve these issues.
John,
This is the correct forum for issues installing/running CHIRP or for issues programming specific radios.
Is the issue that CHIRP won't run on your computer, or that CHIRP runs, but fails to work with this specific radio?
And just got clarity sake, you are attempting to program the Baofeng BF-F8HP, a radio with 3 power levels.

I don’t know if this is the proper forum to raise an issue regarding CHIRP on MacBook Pro (Mac OS 11.5.2 Big Sur) but I need help in getting CHIRP to work with regard to interfacing uploads/downloads to my F8-HP HT. If it is not, please provide me with a means by which I can state my problem in detail and track a resolution.
Thank you.
Yaesu FT270 H/H
Greetings, so far I have used CHIRP with 100% success in programming many radios.
What I REALLY need is being able to program the YAESU FT270 Hand Held.
When is one of you brilliant guys going to update CHIRP with this radio?
Thanks

Radio should be ON when up or downloading.
Remove the driver and cable program, reboot PC reload driver
SHOULD correct issue. If using aftermarket cable check to see contacts are
CLEAN (*shiny) and fit TIGHTLY into the mike provisioning adapter (Mic
jack) DO NOT touch ANY buttons while programming. Worst case, prior to
programming RESET the radio to factory resets then load your amended
program.
