Every time I install, it fails unless I grant an exception in ver 12 of Symantec End Point Protection. Pretty sure it's a false positive, but wanted to run it by the developers in this group.

False positive. White list the CHIRP files, disable your anti-virus during download and installation of CHIRP, or switch to a different anti-virus software.
