Baofeng Tech must have liked the result, their website states "The UV-50X3 is the first radio to exclusively only use CHIRP software for programming."

Sweet, this is pretty awesome! When I started CHIRP in early July 2008 (almost exactly eight years ago!) I never once thought we'd see the day where a vendor released a radio with CHIRP as the primary/only programming solution.
